ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Blues (28-10-7) can continue the 7-game home win streak in the third game of the homestand tonight against the New York Rangers (21-18-4). The Blues took a decisive win on Thursday against the Buffalo Sabres, winning 5-1. Alexander Steen had his first two goals of the season, as he, Tyler Bozak and Robert Thomas combined for four goals and nine points.

“We take a lot of pride in playing in front of our fans and in our town,” Steen said after the win. “We want to make sure that it’s a difficult place to play in, but in saying that, we don’t really change much as far as (our play) on the road and at home. We have to have a consistent game and we try to focus as much as we can on ourselves and how we can get better.”

The Rangers had an explosive win on Thursday against the New Jersey Devils, as defenseman Tony DeAngelo scored a hat trick and tallied five points in a 6-3 win. New Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin made 46 saves in his second consecutive start and win. Artemi Panarin also scored a goal and two assists for 61 points on the season.

The Blues and Rangers play for the first time this season in Enterprise Center tonight at 7pm CT. The Blues are on FSMW and ESPN 101.1.
